Bronze medal for caring

So here’s something: I have not watched one second of this winter’s Olympic games. Like, not. One. Second.

Believe it or not, this is actually unusual for me. As you may remember, most of my friends are sports fans.

In fact, I can’t remember a winter or summer Olympics I haven’t been an avid viewer of at least one event. (Ok, Michael Phelps had a lot to do with that.) So what gives this year?

I think it’s just that like most sporting events, I’m really only there for the social aspect. So all my friends/family watch sports, I watch sports. My friends/family watch the Olympics, I watch the Olympics. The opposite is also true.

So no offense, M’erica. It’s nothing personal.

  1. Well you’ve missed some AMAZING hockey games, let me tell you that… Also, what’s up with the Luge? It seems like the whole theme is “who can be lazy longer” — silliness.
