Anyone who knows me can tell you that I’ve always been a fan of tights and (ok, I’ll admit it) jeggings.
Not hip to the lingo? Jeans + leggings = jeggings. I don’t make the lingo rules. I just wear them.
And while I usually stick to basic black or grey tights and leggings, lately I’ve been intrigued by all of the colorful options I’m seeing in magazines and all over Pinterest. Which is why I was super jazzed when No nonsense tights and leggingsreached out to me and asked if I’d be willing to try out a pair of their opaque tights in Pear and a pair of their dark-wash denim leggings. Um, yes. Yes, I would be.
I’ve always loved No nonsense because their products are super affordable and easy to find at just about any grocery or drug store, as well as many retailers. (Perfect for replacing a snagged pair mid-day or to add under a dress if the weather takes a turn while I’m still at work.) What I first noticed about the pairs I received was that they were extremely comfortable, and the colors of the material were much higher quality than you might expect from such an affordable accessory. So far, so good.
Next, I started to dream how I would style them. I was a little nervous about the bright green tights, but I put together this ensemble in Polyvore that would be perfect for even the most modest office environment:
$290 – seasonsclothing.co.uk
Pretty cute, right? Next up, a casual look for the leggings:
$73 – houseoffraser.co.uk
I have a feeling this will be my go-to look for our Vermont trip next week.
Basically, I’m a fan. And I’m not the only one. Jill Martin, TV personality and author of the New York Times best-selling style guide “I Have Nothing to Wear!”, has recently partnered with No nonsense to help promote their accessible, easy-to-incorporate products. If it’s good enough for the New York correspondent of Access Hollywood, it’s good enough for me.
How would you style colorful tights or leggings?
